Why do Christians have negative views towards tarot cards?

Why do Christians have negative views towards tarot cards?
I don’t understood why people consider tarot cards to be bad, or evil. I’ve always thought of them to mainly be a collection of symbols and art representing more larger, abstract ideas about the world, existence, etc. What’s so wrong or evil about that?

Religion is an excuse to rag on everything.

It’s not just tarot cards, they have a negative view toward ANYTHING that conflicts with their narrow world-view. Everything from rock music to women wearing pants is seen as a threat to their narrow-minded agenda.

They promote spiritism…

(Deuteronomy 18:10-12) There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.

” consults a spirit medium”….Tarot are a medium

Your opening up the door to Satan. I use to read them too, at first they seem to predict the future but then they lie to us. Satan lies! Remember Eden? God forbids sorcery!

For Christians you suppose to leave your life in the hands of God or in the guidance of God.
Your destiny belongs to you (you duty, your work, your family) with the help of God and nothing else.

Tarot cards are, first not proven, and they introduce an element that is not Christian. Otherwise this means not are in control and/or God is not in control. The information clues, tips given by the Tarot cards are from God. The source is unknown and potentially dangerous or a pure waste of time.

As a Christian, your last words before you die, should be “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” Luke 23:46

The bible is full of magick, rituals, numerology and astrology. It says those who mourn shall be comforted, but they are not, as people have closed their minds to the spiritual worlds, and think they cannot penetrate the veil to talk with their loved ones who passed. The bible puts people who read it under a spell of dysfunctional insanity. These things are for their use only, as the books taken in the Inquisition on the magick used is locked up in the Vatican, which belongs to all of mankind, not to them! This religion vibrates in fear, and we must be scared of everything, a God of hellfire, devils, whatever you do don’t trust your intuition, be a good sheep and pull the wool over your eyes and follow your master. And whatever you do don’t make mad passionate love to anyone, (including yourself) without your great friend present, guilt. Guilt and fear are the two worst enemies of mankind. Religions know this, of course.
